Deck overview

This Abzan deck utilizes Kathril, Aspect Warper as a potent Voltron commander powered by keyword-dense creatures in the graveyard. Early turns focus on accelerating mana and filling the graveyard using cards like Buried Alive, Grisly Salvage, and Satyr Wayfinder. Once key creatures such as Zetalpa, Primal Dawn and Vampire of the Dire Moon are in the graveyard, Kathril enters as a massive, evasive, double-striking threat protected by hexproof and indestructible counters. The deck's primary route to victory is eliminating opponents sequentially through commander combat damage over turns 6 to 8. While resilient against targeted destruction and damage once assembled, the strategy is vulnerable to early graveyard hate, sacrifice edicts, and mass-exile board wipes.
