Deck overview

This Jeskai control deck, helmed by Zedruu the Greathearted, executes a unique donation-based strategy: it deploys harmful permanents such as Grid Monitor, Steel Golem, Illusions of Grandeur, and Overwhelming Splendor, then leverages Zedruu's ability (backed by Bazaar Trader, Donate, and Harmless Offering) to gift them to opponents. In return, Zedruu provides massive card draw and life gain, fueling the deck's primary win condition: the infinite mana combo of Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal (with Walking Ballista or Aetherflux Reservoir as the outlet). Secondary paths include Illusions of Grandeur donation plus Aetherflux Reservoir life-gain kill, or a double-cast of Approach of the Second Sun. The deck slows the game with pillowfort pieces like Propaganda, Crawlspace, Sphere of Safety, and Smothering Tithe, making it a political, resource-denying control build.
