Zaxara by Joejazz01087

Format: Commander

Commander: Zaxara, the Exemplary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Zaxara, the Exemplary leads an X-spell Hydra deck that turns mana into huge +1/+1 counters. You ramp, cast Zaxara for extra mana and free Hydra tokens whenever you cast an X spell, then amplify every counter with doublers like Doubling Season, Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, and Innkeeper's Talent. Big X Hydras such as Hydroid Krasis, Goldvein Hydra, and Primo enter as lethal trample threats while X interaction like Curse of the Swine and Blue Sun's Twilight controls the board. Value engines like Garruk's Uprising and Selvala draw cards and add mana. The deck wins through sequential combat with oversized Hydras, not infinite combos, and uses Gargos and The Ozolith to reduce costs and preserve counters.
