Ash Nazg Durbatulûk by Dusky90

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord weaponizes opponent spellcasting into an ever-growing Orc Army while converting Ring temptation into explosive card advantage. Sauron's amass trigger and "discard-hand-draw-four" clause form the primary engine; nine Nazgul ride the same temptation wave, stacking +1/+1 counters into a lethal Wraith swarm. A dense reanimation package (Entomb, Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy, Living Death, Rise of the Dark Realms) cheats out finishers such as Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Terror of the Peaks, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. Treasure engines and rituals accelerate the six-mana commander, while a sharp instant-speed interaction suite protects the board. Primary wins come from combat with a massive Army/Nazgul clock or a single decisive reanimation turn; Blood for the Blood God! and drain effects supply alternate reach.
