Deck overview

This mono-black reanimator deck is led by Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist, an unconventional commander that reanimates creatures from the graveyard as textless Skeletons. Rather than treating the loss of abilities as a drawback, the deck turns it into an asymmetric advantage by reanimating undercosted behemoths that normally suffer from crippling negative abilities, such as Phyrexian Dreadnought (12/12) and Death's Shadow (13/13). Once these massive bodies are on the battlefield, the deck converts their enormous power into game-winning value. Outlets like Disciple of Bolas and Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar draw over a dozen cards in a single burst, while Ghoulcaller Gisa converts raw power into an overwhelming army of Zombie tokens. Supported by secondary reanimation, self-mill engines, and large colorless threats like Ancient Stone Idol and Cityscape Leveler, the deck builds overwhelming board presence to eliminate the table through relentless combat pressure by Turn 7.
