Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain, life-drain, and group slug deck led by Edgar, Charmed Groom. Its core strategy revolves around turning life total manipulation into lethal pressure. Early turns focus on deploying low-cost Vampires, lifegain triggers, and incremental bleed engines such as Creeping Bloodsucker, Charismatic Conqueror, and Lunar Convocation. In the mid-game, Edgar, Charmed Groom buffs the Vampire board and provides resilient token production through his coffin transformation. The deck closes games around Turns 6 to 7 using devastating life-halving synergies: dropping Wound Reflection followed by Fraying Omnipotence or Pox Plague to eliminate the entire table in a single end step. Alternative win conditions include massive life doubling via Beacon of Immortality paired with Vizkopa Guildmage, an alternate upkeep win with Test of Endurance, or rapid 20/20 Marit Lage creation via Dark Depths and Vampire Hexmage.
