Deck overview

This deck utilizes Jon Irenicus, Shattered One to turn high-downside, undercosted creatures into devastating gifts for opponents. By donating threats like Phyrexian Negator, Archfiend of the Dross, Demonic Taskmaster, and Evil Eye of Orms-by-Gore, the deck forces opponents to attack each other with massive, goaded beaters that cannot be sacrificed. Each attack by an owned creature draws the pilot fresh cards, fueling a resilient grip of countermagic, protection, and pillowfort enchantments. Defensive staples such as Propaganda, Crawlspace, and No Mercy ensure that opponents cannot retaliate, while asymmetrical stax pieces like Opposition Agent and Notion Thief strangle opposing development. As life totals crumble and resources are stripped via forced sacrifices and combat, the deck leverages overloaded spells like Cyclonic Rift or reanimation via Tergrid, God of Fright and Gisa, Glorious Resurrector to clean up the final surviving opponent and secure victory.
