Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Prowess Voltron and spellslinger deck commanded by Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest. The strategy focuses on casting Shu Yun on Turn 3 and immediately threatening one-shot commander damage eliminations starting on Turn 4. By chaining low-mana pump spells, cantrips, and evasion effects, the deck triggers prowess and activates Shu Yun's ability to grant double strike, easily pushing past 21 commander damage in a single combat step. A dense package of 1-mana and 2-mana protection spells shields Shu Yun from targeted removal during these explosive turns. If Shu Yun is removed or heavily taxed, backup token generators like Monastery Mentor and Third Path Iconoclast paired with Balmor, Battlemage Captain go wide to overwhelm the board. While the deck boasts high speed against individual opponents, its sequential combat clock requires three separate attack phases to close out the table, leaving windows for opposing interaction.
