Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color Spellslinger Stompy build centered on the Prepare mechanic and commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex. The primary strategy deploys low-cost prepare creatures during the early turns, establishing a wide board presence while ramping and fixing colors. Once Codie enters the battlefield, every prepare spell cast from these creatures is automatically copied, doubling the output of token generation, ramp, and burst card draw. Engines like Archmage Emeritus, Kellan, the Kid, and Spider-Verse compound this advantage by drawing cards and cheating permanents into play. The deck closes out games by leveraging massive power buffs from Magmablood Archaic and Spiritcall Enthusiast, or activating Codie's {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} ability to reprepare all creatures and launch an overwhelming multi-turn combat assault across the table.
