Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Pirate typal strategy led by Admiral Beckett Brass. The game plan focuses on deploying cheap, evasive Pirates during the first three turns, followed by casting the commander on Turn 4. When three or more Pirates deal combat damage to a single opponent, Beckett Brass steals that player's best nonland permanent at the end of the turn. The deck accelerates using early mana rocks, rituals, and combat-generated Treasure tokens from creatures like Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer. As the game transitions into the mid-game, damage multipliers like Shared Animosity, Dire Fleet Neckbreaker, and Angrath's Marauders scale up combat damage to close out the table by Turn 7. Interaction is versatile, featuring efficient removal, countermagic, and theft effects. If the commander is removed, alternative engines such as Admiral Brass, Unsinkable and Coercive Recruiter keep pressure high.
