derevi tap that asss by Profferor

Format: Commander

Commander: Derevi, Empyrial Tactician

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Derevi, Empyrial Tactician deck is a tempo-oriented tap-/untap-synergy strategy that uses evasive creatures to trigger combat-damage-based value engines. Derevi's ability to enter the battlefield from the command zone for a flat {1}{G}{W}{U} (ignoring commander tax) makes her an exceptionally resilient enabler for untapping lands, creatures, or opponent's permanents. The core plan is to deploy cheap unblockable or flying creatures, cast Derevi early, and then use her triggers alongside cards like Hylda of the Icy Crown, Arbiter of the Ideal, and Tui and La, Moon and Ocean to generate card advantage, mana, and board tokens. Win conditions revolve around incremental combat damage from a growing swarm of evasive threats, supplemented by Bident of Thassa / Edric, Spymaster of Trest draw engines and the occasional alt-win via The Millennium Calendar. The deck packs a high density of instant-speed interaction (counterspells and bounce spells) to protect its board and disrupt opponents, but lacks fast mana or a compact combo finish.
