Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari discard and Elf tribal midrange engine commanded by Nath of the Gilt-Leaf. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early mana elves to cast Nath by Turn 4, followed by multi-target discard spells like Dark Deal, Delirium Skeins, and Arterial Flow on Turn 5. Every discarded card produces a 1/1 Elf token, rapidly creating a wide army while stripping opponents of their resources. Continuous attrition engines like Painful Quandary, Court of Ambition, and Waste Not punish remaining plays and lock opponents into top-deck mode. Once a large board of Elves is established, the deck transitions into a decisive win using combat finishers such as Ezuri, Renegade Leader and Overwhelming Stampede, or direct group life drain through Shaman of the Pack and Torment of Hailfire. The deck thrives on resource denial and tribal synergy, but remains vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers and exile removal.
