Deck overview

Kaalia of the Vast commands a high-velocity Mardu aggro-cheat deck designed to deploy massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons well ahead of curve. The deck uses efficient mana rocks and rituals to cast Kaalia on Turn 2 or 3, granting her haste through equipment like Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots to attack on Turn 3 or 4. Her combat trigger cheats high-impact threats directly into play, bypassing heavy mana costs. Signature plays include dropping Master of Cruelties to eliminate a player in a single combat step, or deploying Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Archfiend of Despair, and Avacyn, Angel of Hope to dominate the board. The deck protects its vulnerable commander with free spells like Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver, backed by Grand Abolisher and Teferi's Protection. If Kaalia is answered, Sneak Attack and reanimation spells provide independent lines to sustain heavy airborne pressure.
