Commander: Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Yuriko deck is a tempo-combat drain deck built around ninjutsu. It uses one-mana unblockable creatures to put Yuriko into play on turn two, then repeatedly reveals high-mana-value cards from the top of the library to drain each opponent. A dense package of Ponder, Brainstorm, Sensei's Divining Top, Scroll Rack, and tutors keeps the reveal quality high. Secondary ninjas such as Fallen Shinobi, Ingenious Infiltrator, and Silent-Blade Oni provide card advantage and mana-free casting. Extra turns accelerate the drain clock. The commander is the central engine, but Satoru Umezawa and other Ninja payoff cards let the deck continue if Yuriko is removed repeatedly.
