Deck overview

This is an Orzhov Equipment deck built around Squall, SeeD Mercenary. The commander rewards attacking alone: it grants double strike and, after combat damage, returns a small permanent from the graveyard. The deck supports that plan with haste, evasion, power-boosting Equipment, artifact selection, self-mill, and a few sacrifice-based removal effects. Cloud, Midgar Mercenary, Puresteel Paladin, and Sword of the Animist provide useful support, but the list does not reliably assemble the commander, haste, power, evasion, and graveyard requirements together. Its interaction is mostly creature-focused and often sorcery-speed. Its strongest games produce a large commander-damage attacker and recurring value, but it lacks a dependable table kill, hard lock, or compact combo. The deck is functional at a casual or lower-mid-power table, yet it is vulnerable during setup and after a single well-timed removal spell.
