Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Boros Voltron and Equipment Aggro strategy commanded by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning provides built-in first strike, trample, and lifelink, alongside the signature Stagger mechanic that doubles all damage dealt to an opponent once combat damage connects. The deck accelerates into early equipment deployment on Turns 1–2, casts Lightning on Turn 3, and begins attacking on Turn 4. Damage multipliers like Fiery Emancipation and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar combine with extra combat engines like Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Aurelia, the Warleader to rapidly eliminate the entire table by Turn 6. An extensive tutor suite ensures consistent access to vital equipment, while premier defensive spells such as Teferi's Protection, Clever Concealment, and Deflecting Swat safeguard the board. The deck also contains an alternate win condition in the Godo, Bandit Warlord and Helm of the Host infinite combat combination.
