Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Talrand, Sky Summoner to convert every instant and sorcery into board presence. The game plan focuses on playing draw-go control during the early turns. It develops mana rocks, filters through the library with low-cost cantrips, and holds open mana for efficient interaction. Once Talrand or an alternate token generator like Murmuring Mystic is deployed, every counterspell and draw spell creates evasive flying tokens. The deck steadily accrues an aerial army while denying key opponent plays. In the late game, the deck breaks stalemates using game-ending spells such as an overloaded Cyclonic Rift, an 8/8 pump trigger from Octavia, Living Thesis, or the bouncing power of Hullbreaker Horror. This overwhelming tempo swing clears opposing defenses and allows the Drake swarm to eliminate all three opponents across two combat cycles.
