Deck overview

This Bant midrange deck centers on Tidus, Yuna's Guardian, utilizing +1/+1 counters, keyword counters, and proliferate mechanics to build overwhelming battlefield advantage. Early turns focus on establishing mana ramp and deploying low-cost counter generators like Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte, Hardened Scales, and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower. Once Tidus enters the battlefield, successful combat connections generate steady card advantage and proliferate existing counters across the board. The deck transitions into the late game through decisive combat enablers such as Herald of Secret Streams, Chocobo Knights, and Kodama of the West Tree, or asymmetric board sweeps like Damning Verdict. Counter retention tools including The Ozolith and Resourceful Defense ensure that accumulated power persists through creature removal, while defensive spells like Mutational Advantage protect key assets on pivotal turns.
