Format: Commander

Commander: Jenova, Ancient Calamity

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Jenova, Ancient Calamity is the engine: her beginning-of-combat trigger converts her own power into a huge Mutant, and her death-trigger draw refuels the hand. The deck layers +1/+1 counter multipliers-Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, and Innkeeper's Talent-so a single trigger can make a 50/50 creature. Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord is the hidden finisher, sacrificing that Mutant to drain all opponents at once. Combat with Kalonian Hydra and Wolverine is the backup plan. Counter preservation via The Ozolith and Reyhan, plus Meren/Victimize recursion, lets the deck rebuild after wipes. The commander is central but not strictly required, because the counter combo can still function without her.
