Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu Superfriends strategy led by Queen Marchesa that blends a defensive pillowfort shell with aikido counter-attack elements. The primary game plan revolves around deploying defensive barriers such as Ghostly Prison, Norn's Annex, and Tomik, Orzhov Lawmage to deter attacks against the pilot and their planeswalkers. Queen Marchesa introduces the Monarch early, providing consistent card draw while generating 1/1 deathtouch Assassin tokens to dissuade attackers. Behind this defensive wall, the deck deploys a dense array of planeswalkers that generate creature tokens, control the board, and tick up toward decisive ultimate abilities. Win conditions stem from turning planeswalkers into flying 4/4 Dragons with Sarkhan the Masterless, stacking uncounterable emblem damage with Chandra, Awakened Inferno, or punishing large opposing alpha strikes with devastating blowout spells like Inkshield and Comeuppance.
