Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis control build that uses discard engines, reanimation, and asymmetric wheel locks. Led by Crosis, the Purger, the deck leverages fast mana acceleration to power out early disruption and game-warping threats on turn 3. The primary line uses Entomb and cheap reanimation spells like Reanimate to deploy Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, forcing all opponents to discard their hands at their cleanup step while drawing seven cards each turn. Simultaneously, combinations of Narset, Parter of Veils or Notion Thief with Wheel of Fortune and Dark Deal completely strip opposing resources while filling graveyards. The deck converts this resource dominance into a table finish on turn 5 using the infinite combo of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank, or mass reanimation spells like Breach the Multiverse and Rise of the Dark Realms. Premium countermagic and removal protect the lock while preventing opponents from staging a comeback.
