Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa is an acceleration-political engine in this Mardu drain deck. The only commander is Marchesa; there is no hidden commander, though Black Waltz No. 3 and Kambal act as honorary sub-commanders for the noncreature-spell burn theme. The plan is to become the monarch, deliberately pass the crown, and let opponent draws feed Smothering Tithe plus draw-punishers while Queen and Court of Grace generate tokens. Mirkwood Bats, Purphoros, Impact Tremors, and Suture Priest convert every token enter/sacrifice into table-wide damage. Pillow-fort stax buys time. The deck usually wins by stacking several independent drain triggers and token pings past 120 total life.
