Deck overview

Doran, Besieged by Time leads an Abzan high-toughness deck that transforms defensive Treefolk into overwhelming offensive powerhouses. The commander discounts spells with greater toughness than power and doubles their combat efficacy by granting power boosts equal to their stat difference whenever they engage in combat. Supported by alternative toughness-to-damage enablers like Doran, the Siege Tower, Assault Formation, and Bedrock Tortoise, the deck deploys high-toughness creatures such as Indomitable Ancients and Tree of Perdition. Asymmetrical board wipes like Slaughter the Strong and Wave of Reckoning dismantle opposing battlefields while leaving your high-toughness army intact to deliver lethal combat damage.
