Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger and token swarm deck commanded by Ovika, Enigma Goliath. The primary game plan revolves around rapidly developing mana using an enormous density of artifact mana rocks on turns 1 through 4, enabling Ovika to hit the battlefield on turn 5. Once Ovika is resolved, its ward ability offers built-in defense against spot removal while any subsequent noncreature spells generate a swarm of hasty Phyrexian Goblin tokens scaled to their mana value. Cards with high mana values that feature cost reduction mechanics—such as convoke, affinity, and delve—serve as explosive engines, producing massive token boards while tapping those very tokens for further mana. Overwhelming combat buffers such as Shared Animosity, Tears of Rage, and Graaz, Unstoppable Juggernaut quickly close out the game on turn 7 by transforming the goblin army into an unblockable or lethal alpha strike.
