Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan creature-centric strategy commanded by Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan. Its primary game plan is to flood the board with cheap creature and artifact tokens during the early turns, then cast Felothar to convert those expendable permanents into permanent +1/+1 counters for the entire army. On subsequent combat steps, Felothar attacks to double down on team-wide counters, pushing massive trampling damage across the table. Supporting cards like Mirkwood Bats, Vito, Fanatic of Aclazotz, and Slimefoot, the Stowaway punish opponents whenever tokens are created or sacrificed, providing reach that bypasses enemy blockers. While the deck possesses strong board-scaling capabilities and smooth creature recovery, it relies heavily on natural card draws and combat steps, making it vulnerable to sweepers and fast combo decks.
