Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Azorius artifact aggro strategy commanded by Mendicant Core, Guidelight. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap artifacts, mana rocks, and cost reducers to rapidly grow the commander's power while advancing player speed through guaranteed combat damage. Once the deck hits Max Speed on turn 5, Mendicant Core duplicates cast artifact spells, creating explosive board states. Evasion enablers like Steel of the Godhead and Brotherhood Regalia allow the commander to threaten lethal commander damage eliminations, while anthem finishers like Cyberdrive Awakener and scalable beaters like Kappa Cannoneer provide wide, evasive closing power. Strong card-draw engines such as Vedalken Archmage and Mystic Forge sustain card flow, while dense ward, hexproof, and efficient Azorius counterspells defend the board.
