Commander: Grist, the Hunger Tide

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Grist, the Hunger Tide leads a Golgari graveyard engine that turns self-mill and Insect tokens into multiple combo finishes. The primary plan is to fill the yard, then assemble Necrotic Ooze with Devoted Druid and Channeler Initiate for infinite colored mana, pumping Quillspike into an unblocked lethal attacker. A second, faster-to-execute path uses Ashnod's Altar + Nim Deathmantle + Priest of Gix with Blood Artist to drain the table. Grist acts as a token/mill engine and removal, while the flip Grist, Voracious Larva // Grist, the Plague Swarm and Zask serve as hidden commanders for recursion and board presence. The deck plays a mid-speed, tutor-heavy game with strong protection.
