Deck overview

This Boros spellslinger deck leverages Lorehold, the Historian to cheat expensive, high-impact instants and sorceries into play for a flat miracle cost of {2}. Because Lorehold triggers a discard-and-draw on each opponent's upkeep, the card drawn is the first card drawn that turn, allowing instant-speed miracle triggers for massive sorceries during opposing turns. Enablers like Scroll Rack, Sensei's Divining Top, Penance, and Library of Leng place high-mana haymakers directly from hand onto the top of the library, setting up consistent miracle casts. The deck can close games through an alternate win condition via Approach of the Second Sun, an aerial swarm from Storm Herd, extra turns and removal from Rise of the Eldrazi, or noncombat burn triggers from Brallin, Skyshark Rider and Glint-Horn Buccaneer. Supported by efficient removal and one-sided sweepers, the deck dominates mid-game resource exchanges.
