Deck overview

Skullbriar, the Walking Grave is the deck's reliable centerpiece and its best source of early pressure. The plan is to cast the commander early, attack whenever possible, and exploit the fact that its +1/+1 counters remain as it moves to the graveyard or command zone. The rest of the deck supplies counter growth, trample, protection, mana, and conditional card draw. Duskshell Crawler, Ring of Kalonia, and Synchronized Charge help attacks connect, while Hydra's Growth, Level Up, Bone Sabres, Fangs of Kalonia, and Corpsejack Menace scale the commander. The deck can eventually kill through commander damage, but it usually needs several combat steps and does not have a compact combo. Its main weaknesses are limited tutoring, no stack interaction, reliance on a single commander for its fastest clock, and vulnerability to exile, bounce, sacrifice effects, and repeated board control. It is best suited to a general-power multiplayer table rather than competitive Commander.
