Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black control strategy centered on -1/-1 counters, wither damage, and cycling synergies. Commanded by Massacre Girl, Known Killer, the deck turns every creature combat step into permanent attrition by applying wither counters. Whenever an opponent's creature dies with zero or negative toughness, Massacre Girl draws a card, transforming board control into massive card advantage. The deck features a deep cycling package enabled by Fluctuator and payoffs like Archfiend of Ifnir, which can wipe opposing boards for minimal mana. It also runs high-synergy counter engines such as Nest of Scarabs and Blowfly Infestation, which can generate infinite creature death triggers to drain the table with Blood Artist. High-impact black mana engines like Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast fuel late-game plays, while top-tier tutors ensure consistent access to key pieces. The deck dominates creature-heavy pods through sustained attrition and card flow.
