Deck overview

This deck is a resilient Grixis Aristocrats engine commanded by Marchesa, the Black Rose. The core game plan focuses on utilizing dethrone and counter-granting permanents to distribute +1/+1 counters onto your creatures, making them virtually immortal through Marchesa's delayed end-step resurrection trigger. By combining free sacrifice outlets such as Carrion Feeder and Goblin Bombardment with impactful enters-the-battlefield and death triggers like Baleful Strix, Marionette Apprentice, and Flayer of the Hatebound, the deck generates overwhelming card and life disparity. Because Marchesa triggers at the beginning of each end step, the engine can execute on every player's turn once counter generation is established. Lacking high-end fast mana and generic tutors, the list plays as a focused synergy engine that grinds opponents down before closing with explosive damage multipliers or repeated burn loops.
