Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie Aristocrats and rad-counter engine helmed by The Ghoul, Gunslinger. The strategy blends tribal Zombie synergy, sacrifice outlets, and graveyard recursion to generate continuous card draw, mana advantage, and life drain. The deck functions by casting The Ghoul, Gunslinger alongside self-recurring creatures like Gravecrawler and token producers like Headless Rider. Sacrifice engines such as Warren Soultrader, Phyrexian Altar, and Ashnod's Altar convert these recursive bodies into mana velocity and death triggers. In the mid-game, blood-drain payoffs like Blood Artist, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Funeral Room // Awakening Hall weaponize sacrifice loops to deplete opponents' life totals rapidly. The deck also features a compact two-card combo in Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank that mills out and drains tables automatically. Extensive low-cost reanimation spells ensure rapid recovery from board wipes, while Grave Pact and efficient removal keep opposing creature boards completely suppressed throughout the match.
