Commander: Felothar the Steadfast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Abzan toughness-matters deck helmed by Felothar the Steadfast, who both enables toughness-based combat and serves as a repeatable sacrifice-draw engine (draw equal to toughness, discard equal to power - pure card advantage on a 0/5 wall). The deck leans heavily on defender synergies: walls like Axebane Guardian and Overgrown Battlement ramp, while Assault Formation, Doran, Besieged by Time, Baldin, Century Herdmaster, and Bedrock Tortoise convert high toughness into damage. The primary win is combat with oversized beaters like Towering Titan and Canopy Gargantuan, backed by Betor, Kin to All's 40-toughness life-halving trigger. A secondary combo - Tree of Perdition setting an opponent to 13 life into Triskaidekaphobia's upkeep trigger - offers an alternate kill, though the deck lacks the tutors to find it reliably.
