Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats combo strategy commanded by Teysa Karlov, designed to generate high card velocity and execute decisive life-drain loops. The primary win condition sacrifices Gravecrawler repeatedly to Warren Soultrader or Phyrexian Altar alongside drain payoffs like Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and The Meathook Massacre. Because Warren Soultrader is a Zombie, it enables Gravecrawler to cast itself continuously from the graveyard, converting Treasure creation into immediate lethal table drain in one turn. Proactive disruption cards such as Drannith Magistrate, Opposition Agent, and Blind Obedience slow down opposing game plans, while Grand Abolisher, Ranger-Captain of Eos, and Flare of Fortitude protect your winning turns from interaction. In addition, Skullclamp combined with Teysa Karlov generates substantial card draw. Even without the commander, the deck reliably tutors for its pieces and closes games with backup combos like Exquisite Blood and Epicure of Blood.
