Deck overview

This deck is an Esper tempo and midrange build helmed by Raffine, Scheming Seer. Its strategy centers on deploying cheap, evasive flying creatures on the first two turns, casting Raffine on Turn 3, and using Raffine's connive ability to aggressively sculpt the hand, fuel the graveyard, and pump attackers with +1/+1 counters. The deck translates early combat into compounding mid-game pressure through powerful payoffs like Tivit, Seller of Secrets, Felisa, Fang of Silverquill, and Breena, the Demagogue. Supported by dense tutors, ritual acceleration, and a top-tier interaction package spanning Dovin's Veto, Swords to Plowshares, and Toxic Deluge, the deck protects its board while disrupting opposing strategies. While its primary win condition is closing out games through evasive combat damage over multiple turn rotations, it also features Approach of the Second Sun as an alternate finish that can be rapidly redrawn using Raffine's deep looting engine.
