Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger combo-control strategy commanded by Mizzix of the Izmagnus. The primary game plan focuses on deploying Mizzix early with two-mana acceleration, then rapidly chaining low-cost instants and sorceries alongside proliferate spells to accumulate experience counters. Because experience counters are placed on the player, Mizzix's cost reduction scales permanently, transforming massive draw spells like Stroke of Genius, Pull from Tomorrow, and Even the Score into high-velocity engines cast for only their colored pips. Once a deep counter reservoir is established, the deck transitions into an explosive winning turn around Turn 6. It chains rituals such as Mana Geyser, spell duplicators like Bonus Round and Increasing Vengeance, and finishers like Expansion // Explosion, overloaded Mizzix's Mastery, or Insurrection. A robust suite of free and efficient stack interaction defends Mizzix and the combo turn from opposing disruption.
