Sauron by user5271617

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Built around Sauron, the Dark Lord, this Grixis deck turns spells and amass triggers into an overwhelming Orc Army. The commander's Ring-tempt draw-four engine fuels heavy card advantage, while the graveyard supports reanimation and flashback synergies. Secondary paths include a Lord of the Nazgul Wraith army, big Dragons from the graveyard, and spell-based pings from Fiery Inscription and Guttersnipe. Saruman, the White Hand is the hidden commander in the 99, turning every noncreature spell into a large amass trigger. The deck is a resilient midrange/value engine that finishes through combat rather than a compact combo.
