Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Voltron and Aristocrats strategy designed around Loot, the Anomaly. Loot converts negative power into positive combat damage, turning traditional creature debuffs like Greel's Caress, Torment, Belbe's Armor, and Despondency into massive power boosts. The game plan focuses on casting Loot early, equipping unblockability via Whispersilk Cloak, Access Tunnel, or My Precious, and reducing his power to deliver lethal commander damage or swift infect knockouts through Tainted Strike and Phyresis. Passive debuffs like Night of Souls' Betrayal double as board suppression against opposing tokens while enlarging Loot. If the primary Voltron plan is disrupted, the deck pivots smoothly to backup win conditions, including an infinite-power combo with Crackdown Construct and Hyalopterous Lemure, unblockable combat with Phage the Untouchable, or an undying sacrifice loop with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Putrid Goblin, and Blood Artist.
