Format: Commander

Commander: The Ancient One

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a compact UB combo-mill deck. Its primary plan is to find and cast Thassa's Oracle, then exile its own library with Demonic Consultation to trigger the win. The Ancient One is a repeatable draw/discard engine and an 8/8 beater, and the self-mill package (Stitcher's Supplier, Otherworldly Gaze, Mesmeric Orb) both feeds descend and enables recursion. Secondary paths use Jace or Laboratory Maniac after emptying the library, or mill everyone out with Bruvac, Maddening Cacophony, and Phenax. Cheap tutors, free counters, and stax pieces like Opposition Agent protect the single-turn kill. The commander is a useful value engine, not a required combo piece.
