Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan midrange strategy built around Betor, Ancestor's Voice. It utilizes a dense ramp suite of 11 low-mana spells to deploy Betor reliably on Turn 4. The game plan focuses on manipulating life totals to generate overwhelming value. Lifegain triggers from cards like Soul Warden and Wall of Reverence enable Betor to place large stacks of +1/+1 counters on key creatures each end step. Concurrently, controlled life loss from Sylvan Library, Snuff Out, and pain lands allows Betor to return fallen creatures from the graveyard directly to play. The deck protects its board using sacrifice creatures such as Selfless Spirit and Spectacular Spider-Man, which Betor can recur repeatedly. With silence effects from Dragonlord Dromoka and Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar securing your turns, the deck closes the game by Turn 8 through evasive combat damage and group life drain.
