Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Amass Midrange build commanded by Sauron, the Dark Lord. Its primary game plan revolves around deploying Sauron on Turn 5 to passively amass an Orc Army whenever opponents cast spells. On Turn 6, the deck initiates combat with its Army, triggering the Ring's temptation to discard and draw four cards, creating a continuous refill engine. It leverages Ring-bearer evasion and menace to push through large chunks of combat damage while utilizing thematic support pieces like Lord of the Nazgûl and Saruman, the White Hand to go wide with Wraith and Orc tokens. Disruptive elements such as Orcish Bowmasters and Notion Thief heavily punish opposing card draw, while asymmetric wipes like Call Forth the Tempest clear the way for lethal attacks.
