Deck overview

This is a mono-blue Merfolk tribal deck helmed by Namor the Sub-Mariner, who turns every blue noncreature spell into a swarm of 1/1 Merfolk tokens and scales his own power with the number of Merfolk you control. The core plan is to go wide: generate tokens through Namor plus a redundant suite of token engines (Deeproot Waters, Deeproot Pilgrimage, Talrand, Sky Summoner, Emperor Mihail II), pump them with a dense lord package (Attuma, Atlantean Warlord, Lord of Atlantis, Master of the Pearl Trident, Merfolk Sovereign, Merrow Reejerey, Vodalian Hexcatcher), and make them unblockable via islandwalk, Herald of Secret Streams, and Namor, Scourge of the Seas's flying grant. A heavy counterspell suite (Mana Drain, Cryptic Command, Archmage's Charm, Flare of Denial) and deep draw engines (Kindred Discovery, Seafloor Oracle, Attuma, Atlantean Warlord) let the deck play a draw-go control game before closing through combat. There are no infinite combos - the win is pure tribal beatdown with a control shell.
