Deck overview

This Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow deck is an aggressive tempo and burn engine that converts unblockable combat damage into table-wide life loss. The deck leverages a high density of 1-mana evasive creatures to activate Commander Ninjutsu reliably on Turn 2. Because Commander Ninjutsu is an activated ability, Yuriko completely bypasses the commander tax and evades standard counterspells. The deck then controls the top of the library using cards like Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, Scroll Rack, and top-of-library tutors to reveal high-mana-value spells such as Shadow of Mortality and Temporal Trespass. These flips deal massive simultaneous damage to all three opponents while refilling your hand. A dense suite of free and efficient countermagic and removal protects your board and disrupts opposing win attempts without slowing your development, closing the game around Turn 5.
