Format: Commander

Commander: The Astonishing Ant-Man

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Simic deck is helmed by The Astonishing Ant-Man, a low-cost commander that turns every card draw into a +1/+1 counter and can convert those counters into a swarm of Insect tokens. The primary game plan is to establish a steady draw engine, pile counters onto Ant-Man, then either go wide with tokens or leverage cards like Unnatural Growth and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur for massive combat damage. The deck also includes a mill alternate win via The Mindskinner and a flexible artifact-copying package with Ultron, Artificial Malevolence. Interaction is modest, relying on a handful of counterspells and fight spells, while recursion and value plays come from cards like Trading Post and Shuri's Fabricator. The deck is a midrange value engine that aims to out-grind opponents through incremental advantage rather than assembling a fast combo.
