Deck overview

Hazel of the Rootbloom is a Golgari Squirrel-tribal token deck that turns a board of expendable tokens into both a mana battery and a snowballing copy engine. The core loop is simple: flood the board with Squirrel and Food tokens, let Hazel's end-step trigger copy a Squirrel into two more, and then cash the swarm in for a win through one of three axes - a giant X=Exsanguinate fueled by tapping tokens for mana, a table-wide drain suite (Zulaport Cutthroat, Nadier's Nightblade, Mirkwood Bats, Bastion of Remembrance, Valley Rotcaller), or an overrun combat kill via Beastmaster Ascension and Garruk, Cursed Huntsman. The deck is a value pile first and a combo deck never: Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Peregrin Took, and Academy Manufactor multiply every token event, while Moldervine Reclamation, Toski, Bearer of Secrets, and Skullclamp keep the hand full. Inevitability comes from sheer, compounding token mass rather than any infinite line.
