Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord is a Grixis combo-control deck. The primary plan is to assemble a graveyard-based combo: either Underworld Breach with Lion's Eye Diamond, Lotus Petal, Wheel of Fortune, and Brain Freeze to mill everyone, or Hullbreaker Horror plus Sol Ring to generate infinite mana and cast a stormed Brain Freeze. Sauron acts as a discard-and-draw-four engine and a ward-protected blocker, but the deck does not need him to win. Secondary paths are reanimator beatdown with Nazgul, Sheoldred, and Razaketh, plus Living Death. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around Sauron's draw trigger and the Breach/Hullbreaker engines.
