The Eagles Are Coming by jls112

Format: Commander

Commander: The Lord of the Eagles

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue flying-tribal deck built around The Lord of the Eagles, an 8/8 flash flyer whose cost scales down with the total power of your flying creatures. The early game is about establishing cheap evasive creatures and cost reducers, which simultaneously makes the commander affordable and powers the deck's card-draw engines. The primary kill is an equipment-assisted one-shot: a Buster Sword hit free-casts Super State mid-combat, and Genji Glove then supplies double strike and an extra combat, letting the enchanted creature's damage-spread effect hit all three opponents for lethal in a single turn. Backups include a straightforward flyer beatdown plan with Gravitational Shift, Anduril, Flame of the West, and Akroma's Memorial, sustained by heavy card draw from Windreader Sphinx, Consecrated Sphinx, and Rhystic Study. It is a battlecruiser-style value deck that rewards one clean combat step.
