Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa commands a Mardu control and political aikido deck designed to control combat and punish opponent aggression. Marchesa introduces the monarch mechanic to maintain card velocity while deterring attackers with deathtouch tokens. The deck manipulates combat steps using goad tools like Disrupt Decorum and defensive redirects like Deflecting Palm, Backlash, and Delirium. After whittling down life totals through redirected aggression and passive drain from cards like Agent of Masks and Court of Ire, the deck closes games with high-impact finishers such as Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, a massive Debt to the Deathless, or a runaway turn powered by Bolas's Citadel.
