Deck overview

This is a classic Orzhov Aristocrats deck helmed by Athreos, God of Passage. The primary game plan revolves around repeatedly sacrificing creatures to trigger death-drain effects (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Cruel Celebrant) while using Athreos to return those creatures to hand unless an opponent pays 3 life. This creates a persistent, attrition-based pressure that whittles down three opponents over time. The deck also includes explosive finishers like Exsanguinate and Aetherflux Reservoir to close out games once a large life total or mana stockpile is built. A robust recursion suite (Reanimate, Zombify, Stitch Together, Moseo, Vein's New Dean) ensures resilience against board wipes, and premium tutors-Demonic Tutor, Imperial Seal, Grim Tutor, plus the repeatable Emeritus of Woe-provide consistent access to key pieces. The deck wins through incremental life loss, not infinite combos, and is built to grind value over the long game.
