Deck overview

Felothar the Steadfast turns the deck's defenders from blockers into an aggressive economy: each creature attacks with its toughness, and the commander converts spare walls into huge card draw. The primary plan is to stall with high-toughness creatures, then attack behind Felothar, Assault Formation, or Doran; Wingmantle Chaplain, Towering Titan, and Canopy Gargantuan provide explosive scaling. Secondary lines drain via Blight Pile and Indulging Patrician. There is no double-faced commander, and no true hidden commander-Doran, Baldin, and Assault Formation serve as backup toughness-matters commanders. The deck is a midrange combat deck that wins by overwhelming the board, not by a compact combo.
